#ForteFemales At Home - Serra Turker

Today's #ForteFemale is Serra Turker, the stylish and brilliant founder of Misela, an Istanbul based luxury handbag brand. Misela uses bold prints and colourful combinations, blending the taste of the West with the feel of the East. The brand is inspired by Serra's passion for timeless designs which accompany her through her journey of the world.

Which place would you travel to now, if you could?

I would either go to Morocco or India.

What's the first restaurant you're going to go to after the quarantine?

I really want to go to this burger place called Zula in Istanbul. I've never tried it but I've heard so many good things about it and I'm also really craving burgers at the moment.

What are your favourite beauty places or spa treatments?

I love Turkish baths, especially in spring time.

What are you doing / using to stay physically active and mentally well at the moment?

I'm trying to stay physcally active; I've been doing Melissa Wood's Health exercises daily and I try to go out for a walk each day, which is not that easy in Istanbul. Mentally, it changes for me every week. Some weeks I need more meditation so I either do a  guided or non guided meditation. The past week, I've felt like watching a series to keep myself entertained.

What helps you get to sleep if you are wired but tired?

Smelling aromatherapy oils and doing some Joe Dispenza's Restful Sleep Meditation.

What is your skincare regime during the lock-down (morning and evening)?

My morning routine starts with some Santa Maria Novella Rose Water and NIOD’s Hydration Vaccine moisturiser. At night, I wash my face with Darphin Cleansing Foam Gel, use Institut Esthederm Intensive Hyaluronic Serum and Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Dream Night Cream.

Do you have one evening or more a week where you spend time masking / pampering? What do you do?

Since I have so much spare time at the moment, I'm doing facial masks 2-3 times per week. My sisters and I are currently exchanging different facial masks and I'm planning to use a collagen mask next.

What is the best beauty / skin advice you've ever been given?

Never go to bed without cleansing your face, I believe this is the first step to achieving beautiful skin.
