Today's #ForteFemale is Petra Palumbo an entrepreneur and talented artist who mixes color, cultures, techniques, patterns and prints. Her eponymous sustainable homeware company, Petra Palumbo, creates colorful and patterned, long-lasting, high-quality products.
Which place would you travel to now if you could?
London, I can't wait to see my family and friends, who I miss dearly.
What's the first restaurant you're going to go to after the quarantine?
RocPool in Inverness.
What are your favorite beauty places or spa treatments?
I love the spa at Nemacolin Woodlands, a resort in Western Pennsylvania near my parents' farmhouse.
What are you doing/using to stay physically active and mentally well at the moment?
Lots of walking, running, reading, cooking, designing and organizing.
What helps you get to sleep if you are wired but tired?
Reading. If that doesn’t work, I take deep breaths. I also don't check my phone or the time near bedtime; I try to roll with how sleepy I am.
What is your skincare regime during the lock-down (morning and evening)?
My routine is pretty simple; I’m lucky to have good skin. I cleanse and moisturize both morning and evening, splashing my face with the coldest Highland water imaginable. I use the Irene Forte Almond Face Scrub and Pistachio Face Mask once a week. Sometimes I’ll use an eye cream if I think I need it.
Do you have one evening or more a week where you spend time masking/pampering? What do you do?
Usually Sunday evenings. I'll do a face mask and body scrub so that I’m ready for the week ahead.
What is the best beauty/skin advice you've ever been given?
To keep your routine simple with good natural products that suit your skin. And of course, to drink lots of water, get lots of sleep, go in the sun very little and always moisturize after showering!
