#MediterraneanMonday - Prickly Pear Recipes

The Mediterranean diet is widely considered the cleanest, healthiest and most balanced in the world. Rather than relying on faddy trends and unsustainable eating habits, the Mediterranean approach relies on the quality of natural products, seasonality and the freshness of ingredients. It promotes health from the inside out.

Prickly Pear

Prickly Pear are high in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. They also help decrease blood sugar, reduce inflammation, and lower cholesterol. Given its nutritious benefits, we've created a Mediterranean three-course meal with pear.

3. Cut the bread into thick slices and brush them with extra-virgin olive oil on both sides.

4. Heat a large pan on medium-low heat, add in the bread slices, and toast them for about 2 minutes on both sides until crunchy and golden on top. Remove the bruschetta from the skillet and set aside.
