DR. FERRI’S SCIENTIFIC ACHIEVEMENTS
Discovered the medical benefits of extracts from Mahonia Aquifolium in the treatment of dermatitis and psoriasis.
Developed a methodology for extracting resveratrol from red grapes. Resveratrol has pronounced antioxidant activity and is used in the treatment of psoriasis and dermatitis.
Developed a patented extraction technique for melatonin from plants. This type of melatonin, known as Phytomelatonin, has been shown to have breakthrough potential in anti-ageing cosmetics.
Developed an innovative dermatological line using avenanthramides to treat atopic dermatitis.
Developed a patented pure vitamin E tablet, tested at the Institute of Tumours in Milan on women with breast cancer, to assess its antiproliferative effect on the tumours.
Published ground-breaking research into the genetic basis for skin issues, leading to the development of products for skin ageing based on the study of changes in gene expression. She was awarded the Italian equivalent of a knighthood for this ground-breaking research.
