“Wellbeing starts in the soil: ripe tomatoes kissed by the sun, golden olive oil cold-pressed by hand, wild herbs with ancient wisdom. The same philosophy applies to skincare - natural, minimal, nourishing.” – Gresy Daniilidis
For Gresy Daniilidis, a life well-lived is built on purity, consistency, and a deep connection to nature. Raised in the Mediterranean, she carries its scents, flavors, and rhythms with her everywhere she goes, from the food she eats to the way she cares for her skin.
The Importance of Pure, Simple Ingredients
“Whether in what I choose to eat or what I choose for my skin, I’ve learnt that wellbeing starts in the soil. Growing up in the Mediterranean taught me that ripe tomatoes, golden olive oil, and wild herbs are more than food, they are nourishment for life.”
This belief shapes everything she does, including her skincare philosophy: keep it natural, minimal, and nourishing.
Ritual over Routine
“The key to living well and aging beautifully lies in consistency. It’s not in doing it all, but in repeating a few quiet acts with love, day after day. Eating wholesome, unprocessed foods because I genuinely love them. Moving my body regularly. Tennis has been part of my life since childhood, or yoga that gently opens my mornings. Rituals become powerful when they’re repeated with intention. Over time, they shape not just the body, but the lifestyle.”
Italy, Bottled
“What I love most about Italy is how effortlessly it blends beauty into everyday life. Art isn’t just in museums, it’s in the architecture, in the stories of each village, even in the way we plate a meal for friends. Food is never just nourishment, but a celebration. And history surrounds you as something you walk through, touch, and breathe every day.”
If she could bottle the Mediterranean lifestyle:
“It would smell of jasmine at dusk from my family’s garden, softened by a fresh whisper of neroli that recalls Portofino and my childhood summers. I’d seal it in a timeless Murano glass, to celebrate Venice, my favorite city.”
Favorite Italian holiday spot:
"It’s hard to choose, but I must mention Portofino for early summer weekends, for the best food and views, a place close to my heart and full of childhood memories. Sardinia, with its colorful, refined villages and crystal-clear waters, and those tiny little islands to re-discover every summer. And then the hills of Siena, a landscape painted in warm light, where time slows down. Vineyards, cypress-lined roads, and ancient stones that make me feel like I’m lost in a painting.”
Her favorite dish:
“Spaghetti alle vongole e bottarga is always my favorite. The only thing I’d ever trade it for is a plate of authentic pasta al pesto Genovese — and a little slice of focaccia!”
Her favorite Italian phrase:
“Che fantastica storia è la vita” by Antonello Venditti. It always gives me a smile, in the good and in the bad times. I like to repeat it to myself at times.”
The scents of summer:
“The jasmine blooming in the garden of my family home, the freshness of just-squeezed orange juice in the morning, and the clean, green smell of freshly cut grass.”
The soundtrack:
“The rhythm of the waves and the soft song of crickets in the shade of a maritime pine. If I were to add music, it would be the voice of Ornella Vanoni, or some of my favorite piano by Ludovico Einaudi.”
Irene Forte Skincare Favorites
“The Phytomelatonin Rejuvenating Serum. Only a few drops nourish and illuminate my skin instantly. But also the Pistachio Body Oil is a must, as well as the Olive Eye Cream!”
For Gresy, the Mediterranean lifestyle is built on nature’s gifts, meaningful rituals, and the joy of savoring life slowly. It’s a reminder to live with intention, care, and beauty every single day.
